activate iPhone, connect to iTunes message

iPhone dropped and now displaying “activate iPhone, connect to iTunes message.”?
I dropped my iPhone today. I am now getting an “activate iPhone, connect to iTunes message.” My iPhone was already activated a couple of months ago. When I connect it to iTunes, it says “iPhone cannot be viewed in iTunes because no SIM card is installed.”

I knew the iPhone was bs, I returned mines a week after i bought it, anyways, I recommend visiting your local ATT/Cingular store and demand some answers, and/or claim your warranty with Apple.
