best BlackBerry Bold 9000 video sound quality settings for me. I use Nidesoft DVD Ripper video converter to convert movies for my BlackBerry Bold 9000. my compute operation system is windows vista. I can use the converter software for some my other device like xbox. I use the .MP4 format for my Blackberry BlackBerry Bold 9000 from their drop down and changing the screen format to 480 x 320. It rips pretty quickly, with my estimated time at about 30 minutes for a full length 90 minute or so movie. I usually set it up, walk away do something else while it’s ripping. after testing for a few days , I find the best video converter settings for BlackBerry Bold 9000 video sound quality, it suit me for viewing, sound quality and good compression:

- BlackBerry MPEG-4 video
- 480 x 320 resolution

TV Show DVD’s:

- 256 video bitrate
- 32 audio bitrate

Movie DVD’s:

- 384 video bitrate
- 32 audio bitrate

Music Video / Concert DVD’s:

- 512 video bitrate
- 128 audio bitrate

You can also crop, trim, enhance the volume, adjust the color and so on via the menus. what other BlackBerry Bold video converter do you use? and what are your good video converter settings ?

  1. I use Xilisoft’s video converter tool, and convert to .mp4 using the iPod MPEG-4 setting to 320×240. The nice advantage here is that you can get a full 30 minutes compressed down to about 130-140MB. I find 320×240 good enough for the Blackberry Bold’s screen, if I want greater than that I ‘ll watch my shows with a different screen.

  2. When watching video, my 9000 “times out”, and does a screen lock, shutting down the video. How can i prevent this while watching video??
