Change iphone clock to 12 hour format? I just got an iphone from O2, in my iPhone settings I go to ‘Date & Time’ & at the there’s a switch to turn ‘24-Hour Time’ on or off. It’s set as on but slightly greyed out. I can’t alter the option to turn it off. It’s a UK iPhone on O2, if that makes any difference?

When change iphone clock to 12 hour format ,

Do not adjust in settings, general, date & Time

Goto settings —-> International —-> Region Format and set that to United States

Currently, if you have the Region Format set to UK (Settings/international) then the only option is 24 hour format.

To have the 12hr/24hr format you will need to set the Region format to United States.

If this does not work. you might need to call Apple or O2 support in the UK - on my US iPhone it works perfectly fine to set either 24 or 12 hour date format -

  4. this works but it adds dashes in the phone numbers stored on your phone and it makes the calender app start the week on a Sunday.

  5. If you change it to Australian region format it allows 12-hour time without putting a dash in phone numbers

  6. Why would you want to do this?
You’re not in primary school anymore (well, unless you are, but why have you got an iPhone).
    Days have 24 hours.
