How do I use the iPhone’s internet if I don’t have WiFi at home?
If i don’t have WiFi at home, can I just like use Cingular’s nationwide connection to have internet in the car or somethin? Can i use the iPhone internet outside on the road or anywhere if i don’t have wifi at home?
The iphone can access the internet in two ways. The first way is through a Wi-Fi access signal. It can be done wirelessly in your home network setup or through Wi-Fi hotspots (like coffee shops, hotels, airports, restaurants etc). Wi-Fi is much more faster approximately close to DSL speeds.
The other option is the Cingular (A T&T) Edge Network. This is done through the cell phone network. You can use your cell phone to browse the internet and using this option you will receive a signal anywhere you go especially if your cell phone gets a constant signal. However using Cingular (A T&T) Edge Network is extremely slow because speeds only reach to 200 kilobits per second.
Your current cell phone plan 59.99 a month includes 450 rollover minutes with unlimited internet and email usages and 5,000 nights and weekends.
all AT&T plans for the iPhone come with unlimited internet support, so you can browse from anywhere. WIFI just makes things faster.
