How to delete email messages on iPhone

How do you delete more than one email messages on the iPhone?
Basically as the question states how can you delete more than one email messages on the iPhone, rather than one by one.

If the e-mail account is imap (not pop), your deletion on the server (via your computer) automatically deletes them from the iPhone.

Try reading the manual. About delete email messages on iphone are usually packed so tight with stuff, its hard just to find something simple. Hopefully it will be in there; Apple was never very good with helping customers.
