how to delete iphone 3G sms individually. I find that if I want to delete a particular sms on iphone 3G, I cant. just like I cant forward a sms on iphone.it is so annoying. it is so easy for other mobile phone to delete individual SMS, why Iphone won’t work with it? the only way I can delete them is select SMS & on top of the page , then you will see edit press this and you ill then get a red disc. You can then select any message sent to you . I hope there will be soon a feature for deleting one SMS in a conversation or delete a call from the call list on iphone 3G. because SMS is so popular. and I hope that iphone app developer will develop “delete individual iphone sms app”, so we can use sms more easily. I even wonder why Apple iphone does not support MMS?

  1. RTFM : same way as you delete a mail : swipe

    from the userguide :

Delete a conversation from the Text Messages list: Tap Edit, then tap next to a
conversation and tap Delete. You can also delete a conversation by swiping left or
right over a conversation and tapping Delete.

  2. peter, you clearly misunderstood his question… keyword = individually. Your way deletes the entire conversation(as you stated). Maybe you don’t want to wipe out an entire archive of texts just to erase one little individual text message.

  3. oh, and to answer the questions(I got sidetracked), you need to jailbreak your phone… that’s the only option to my knowledge… use installer/cydia to get an SMS management app like Kate. good luck

  4. Everything you ask will be done on the 3.0 version this summer

  5. I heard Apple wants to force us away from traditional text, and make us use email?
