How to separate text messages on BlackBerry Curve 8310. Blackberry Curve text box contains email and text ,How can I separate messages? 2 icons. One has email, the other has both text and email. The icon for email works great. That is full of just emails. The icon for text messages also includes all of my emails. This causes me to miss most of my text messages because i don’t see them mixed in with my emails.

you can separate text messages on BlackBerry Curve 8310 as follows:

1. Click the trackball on your email icon
2. Push the menu button
3. Scroll to “Options”
4. Click the trackball on “General Options”
5. Scroll to “SMS and Email Inboxes”
6. Change the option from either “Theme Controlled” or “Combined” to “Separate”
7. Save the changes
