iphone 3G POP3 email not work problem-iphone cant send pop3 emails. after I have setting up my iphone POP3 email accounts.my iphone can receive emails ,but it cant send emails. my incoming and outgoing mail servers settings are correct. but it will not work on the iphone. when I send my pop3 emails fine It says “Sender email address was invalid” .

my friend tell me that sometimes deleting and re-entering the email account will work on iphone.my resolution was to just delete the POP3 account and have it forwarded to my .mac account , which worked fined on the iphone. but when I decided to add the POP account back . I went to settings, mail, add account - and added back the road-runner info . I got a little pop-up warning/alert from AT&T about using their network which I had not seen before - and I said OK. the pop email is now sending and receiving without any trouble. I do not have to have wi-fi enabled (I have it off, actually) - and I am not forwarding the POP email to my .mac address anymore.

The settings are:
wi-fi “off”
fetch new data - Push, every 15 minutes
the pop / host is the one provided by road runner (pop-server.triad.rr.com), but the SMTP server was set up automatically. There is no user name or password entered, Use SSL is off, and the Server Port shown is 25. Other SMTP servers listed (but they are “off”) are:
smtp-server.triad.rr.com
AT&T SMTP Server
