Iphone activation for nextel phone number?
I bought my iphone on monday and i started the activation process at around 630 pm. I went through the quick and easy steps. I decided to keep my old number (which happens to be a nextel phone) then it told me it needed additional time to activate and they would email me when it did. Today is wed. its 230 and it is still not activated.

Why is it taking so long? Did this happen to you? What did you do? What can i do?

Did you still have a contract with Nextel? If you did a lot of times they will not release your number for port until you pay the penalty for early termination (if you were under a contract).

Maybe you should call AT&T, mine took like 5 minutes, but i got a new number.
