iphone bluetooth music question? Is it possible for IPHONE to transmit music via Bluetooth? I have a motorola headset that gets my phone but does not pickup my music.

the iphone does not have the bluetooth profile to play music to a wireless headset. It only possess the profiles to play mono sound from the phone function.

There are products out there that will take the output from a headphone/line-out jack and transmit that over bluetooth. As I type this I am using a Plantronics Pulsar 590A setup and I absolutely love it. It pairs with the iPhone for calls and with the bluetooth adapter for music/video and hands off between the two flawlessly when a call comes in or I place a call. Until apple adds the correct profile to the iPhone, this works pretty darn well.

The main reason I went with this particular item is it is the only one I found that provides decent battery life. 10-12 hours of talk/listen time on one charge! Easily lasts through the work day.

or you can try a iphone bluetooth music trick. Go to a song on your iPod and play. Go to the home screen, then hit phone. Go to dial pad and dial a short number, i use 141 and hit call. Your headset will operate but the call will not connect, and line closes. Go back to your iPod and song plays like a dream, but in tinny mono though.
