Iphone stuck on “please connect to Itunes”? my Iphone suddenly hangs, so i do a manual restart by holding the Home and power key and ever since then its stuck on a screen which says “please connect to itunes” with a yellow triangle! although it is an unlocked iphone but my software isn’t 1.1.1. so now when i connect to itunes it says i need to restore the iphone, what should i do?
First of all, you will probably need to restore the iPhone whether you like it or not. However, there may be another option. I would try calling Apple Care at 1-800-275-2273 before you restore your iPhone. When you call Apple Care, don’t tell them that you unlocked your iPhone, as this will immediately prompt them to say that you have voided your iPhone Warranty. Wait for them to give you advice, and if none of it works then you can tell them that you unlocked your iPhone.
it takes me long time to figure, even calling Apple Care those representatives don’t know how to deal with this problem and waste me one hour and ask me to go to Apple Store.

Verify that the Apple Mobile Device Service is installed and running using the Services MMC snap-in using these steps:
1. On the Start menu, click Run.
2. In the Open field, type services.msc and click OK. A list of devices will be displayed.
3. View the list In alphabetical order and verify that the “Apple Mobile Device Service” status is “Started.”
4. If the status does not indicate the service is started, right-click Apple Mobile Device Service and choose Start from the shortcut menu.
5. If the service is installed and started, right-click the service and choose Restart from the shortcut menu.

My iPhone is not unlocked, and It asked me to update my iphone software on itunes. it got halfway through updating then came up with an error. Now it is frozen on “connect to itunes” screen, so all i can see is the itunes logo, with a picutre of the usb cable pointing to it. i have pressed down the home and turn off button at the top several times, which just resets the phone and goes back to th “connect to itunes screen” since this happened yesterday, i have had no change, even when my battery went dead. i tried charging it and still no change.
i tried connecting it to itunes a dozen times, but itunes doesnt recognise it’s plugged in, and i cant find the device anywhere on my computer. it’s as if it doesnt exist.
i tried what this….

hold home for 15 secs….don’t release home and hold power for 2 secs… then reboot your phone… its’ done.

i have the same problem, sent in my iphone to apple and they claimed “the device was accidentally damaged or abused.” Did i mention the phone is less than 6 months old and there is no damage to it outside of the frozen screen. I don’t know what to do. Please help if anyone can.
I have an unjailbroken phone.
This is what the problem is: My iphone froze and gave me the “connect to iTunes” image. When I did this it froze again. So in order to fix this problem I tried to restore it to factory settings. The process started with no problems, but before it finished it gave me an error code. Saying it could not be completed. Voila: my iPhone is now in permanent restore mode.
*So, I uninstalled iTunes. Reinstalled it. Nothing.
*I checked the Apple Mobile Device and it was running properly. Just in case I paused it and restarted it. Nothing
*I went into the computer to see if the phone was being recognized and if i could update the driver hardware. NOthing.
*When I plugged in the iPHone i tried holding down the Home key as it was plugged into iTunes. NOthing
*iTunes will not even detect my iPhone at all. I also tried to plug in another iPhone (which was detected.)
I don’t know what else to do at this point. I cannot think of anything. Apple is obviously not going to do anything to help either. I hope someone will be able to help me. Thanks here is my email….

I plugged in my iphone just now and somehow it got unplugged while i was installing the new software or whatever. and so now the screen is just black and when i plug my iphone into the computer it just has to connect to itunes picture on it. I dont want to restore it because i dont want to delete my pictures contacts and everything else on my iphone. is there any other way to make it work??=/
