iphone text Message Indicator: no notification?

Do you notice that when receiving a text message they get no notification that they receive it? It will show up on the screen but it won’t make a noise indicating i have one. I keep it in my front shirt pocket and i rarely hear the noise indicator for a text go off. So i check my iphone whenever i text someone to see if they reply. how to set iphone text regular notifications?

For example, you are away from your phone when receiving a text, how does the iphone let you know a text as come in or a call or whatever? (most phone has a service light, for comparison)

There is a program called “customize” that can be installed with AppTapp that you can change any sounds you want, along with anything else you want to have control over on the phone.
