iphone WiFi connection password trouble
iphone WiFi connection password trouble
I have a iphone wifi connection problem, I can’t connect iphone to my home wifi connection. I’ve got an Apple Airport Extreme base station, and 2 computers connected to it. I have the passwords and admin control, etc., but my iPhone can’t connect to it. It is able to see the connection, and when I select it, I am prompted to enter in the password, which I do, but it says it’s still not able to connect. I’ve tried every version of the password, and every password connected to the system, but nothing works! How can my other 2 computers use the password fine, but the iPhone can’t connect?
I had the same problem and found I could connect if I turned off my router security. but I selected to use a different router. I found that the iPhone will not work with WPA2 Security with AES encryption so try using WPA with TKIP ecryption or WEP Security on the password and everything should work fine. You can also disable the password but you will have an unprotected network. Most routers have a web based application that you can get to with your browser but you need to know the router address.

This works! You said: “I found that the iPhone will not work with WPA2 Security with AES encryption so try using WPA with TKIP ecryption or WEP Security on the password and everything should work fine.” I had the same problem and when I changed from AES to WPA with TKIP, I was able to log into my wi-fi router.
I had the same problem. Try the network key, that worked for me (this is the network security key, not the router password!)
