Safari can’t find the server on my iphone
my iphone safari can’t open the page because it can’t find the server,no e-mail,
no weather,no map and no you tube,any yahoo page and others. it seems like safari is completely out of service. What can i do.
Try a reset on iphonoe (hold down home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo comes up)
If your iphone still has this problem while connected to a wifi network, here’s a couple of things to check out.
from the home screen choose settings->wifi.
There should be a check mark on the left of the network you are connected to.
tap on the blue circle with the arrow on the right side of the iphone.
Make sure you have an ip address.
Also, make sure there is a dns address also.
The dns should be different from the router address.
If the dns is the same as the router, or the dns is blank.
try forgetting the network in the iphone then power off the iphone.
Now power down your wireless router for a full 2-3 minutes.
power the wireless router back on.
once the router is powered back up, turn on the iphone and try to connect to the wireless network again.

The solution is to enter your router security settings on your home wi-fi by putting router IP address into Internet Explorer. Once there look at wireless security settings and make. Note of the KEY code.
Now go onto iPhone and re enter your wi-fi but use the KEY code instead of your chosen named password- this worked perfectly for me first time and no problems since!
I have indeed the same agony, and i know how frustrating it is just being ignored by those technical guys out there so im sharing this with you… input these Open DNS Servers 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220.
280.67.220.220 works for me.

I had this, where it worked using wifi, but not out and about. Turning it off and on again solved the problem. Thanks for the recommendation — seems obvious in retrospect!
you can do this even if there is no sim card or its not activated
